    6. Radicalisation and Extremism

All childminders have a legal duty to try and prevent children from being drawn into extremism. Childminders should try and confront extremist notions and identifying when children may be susceptible. Ofsted expects that childminders can actively take steps to help children avoid radicalisation and extremist perspectives.

    8. Responding to Concerns

This module expands upon the topics covered in previous modules.

While it’s vital to maintain confidentiality, it’s just as important to know when and to whom disclosures should be reported. Correct and fast responses to abuse disclosures are critical. This module outlines the necessary steps and highlights the dos and don’ts to achieve a desirable outcome.

By the end of this module, you’ll clearly understand the appropriate procedures to follow when confronted with potential abuse situations and how to act if you’re concerned about an adult’s behaviour.
